Lunch specials about $7. The $11 burger with baked sweet potato as a side was great. Ordered burger medium well and was barely pink.. right on. Wife's chicken wings a little dry. Loved atmosphere. Slow, but just fine. Drinks had crushed ice, wife commented favorable on that

The Pirate Deck is an excellent restaurant that serves amazing food. Thier steaks, pork chops, wings, and ribeye steak sandwiches are my personal favorites. The service is usually excellent, and the owners are amazing people. They cook your food to order, so you may have to wait a little longer for your food, but you can be assured that it will arrive hot, fresh, and smelling and tasting amazing.

I loved loved loved it! Sooo delicious! So fresh! It may take a little time because each order is fresh made! I thought it was a bar for years and never went in! Come to find out it's a very good restaurant!! Be patient! Top notch and I'm picky! Our server was sweet and fast attentive and a gracious southern lady!:0) I'll be eating here a lot now! The ribeye sandwich is so good! Wish it had been smothered in peppers and onions! Not a lot! I had to ask for more! I'll be craving this from now on! It's plain county decor may lack the whole "pirate vibe", :0( But, where it lacks in pazazz it makes up for in deliciousness! I didn't care for the zesty sauce for the onion rings, tho ... not at all like the real deal in OutBack Restaurant! They need to fix that mayo stuff (?)!!! Anyway, bring a sweater it's chilly in there. ENJOY! Be patient! :0)

I was in Zebulon again for business and my colleagues suggested the Pirate Deck. It's right in the middle of downtown across from the Oink Joint where I went last time I was in town. It's a similar small town vine but with a country theme. There was music playing and the one server was bustling around the restaurant taking care of many tables. She came over and was really friendly. Because she was working half the restaurant, service was a little slow, but it wasn't too bad. I asked for a recommendation between the chicken philly and the ribeye sandwich and she recommended the ribeye so I went with it. She asked how I wanted it and I said medium rare with onions, mushrooms, and peppers and she went off to place the order. The food didn't take too long to come out, and we went to town! I bit into the sandwich and it was nice, cheesy, and juicy. It had great flavor but I did notice that it was cooked well done. I know it's hard to cook such a thin steak medium well but if you're going to offer different temps you should make it happen. I'll definitely be back though because the flavor was great!
